Michael set out to step beyond his comfort zone and explore new opportunities. With support from TotalLink to Community, he landed a job as a shop assistant at ProAuto in Morton Grove.

Welcomed by owners Julie and Lee Hardegree, Michael quickly felt at home in the shop’s positive, family-like culture. In his role, he checks and fills tire pressure, keeps the workspace clean and safe, monitors inventory, and makes bank deposits.

Michael’s hard work has made a real difference. “Michael has made my life easier,” shared a coworker. Michael agrees the feeling is mutual: “Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I enjoy being helpful and working with my team.”
