📚 Library Life: Explore, Learn, and Connect
Step into a place full of discovery, creativity, and community! Library Life is a weekly small-group experience at the Northbrook Public Library where participants can explore interests, build independence, and enjoy everything the library has to offer.
With guidance from facilitators Jake Bochniak and Wendy Cohn, participants choose how they’d like to spend their time each week. Activities may include:
-
Getting hands-on in the Collaboratory Maker Space
-
Relaxing with reading, journaling, or a personal hobby
-
Trying volunteer tasks and giving back to the library
-
Discovering new books, movies, music, and media
-
Joining in mini learning topics inspired by group interests
This program also builds a sense of routine and belonging. Regular visits help participants connect with library staff, grow more confident navigating the space, and form meaningful relationships—creating a warm, inclusive environment where everyone feels at home.
Whether you’re here to create, learn, explore, or simply enjoy a calm afternoon, the library has something for everyone. Library Life also pairs perfectly with Yoga at the library from 3–4 PM!
