📚 Library Life: Explore, Learn, and Connect

Step into a place full of discovery, creativity, and community! Library Life is a weekly small-group experience at the Northbrook Public Library where participants can explore interests, build independence, and enjoy everything the library has to offer.

With guidance from facilitator Jade Andrews, participants choose how they’d like to spend their time each week. Activities may include:

  • Getting hands-on in the Collaboratory Maker Space

  • Relaxing with reading, journaling, or a personal hobby

  • Trying volunteer tasks and giving back to the library

  • Discovering new books, movies, music, and media

  • Joining in mini learning topics inspired by group interests

This program also builds a sense of routine and belonging. Regular visits help participants connect with library staff, grow more confident navigating the space, and form meaningful relationships - creating a warm, inclusive environment where everyone feels at home.
